Chelsea beat Wycombe Wanderers 5-1 in a friendly match for the coming Premier League on Wednesday.
Chelsea carried their championship cup to the field before the game. In the first half Ireland winger Damien Duff and striker Carlton Cole gave them a 2-0 lead.
Charlie Griffin pulled one back for Wycombe Wanderers, a fourth division club, before one goal from Dutch winger Arjen Robben and two from Czech midfielder Jiri Jarosik completed Chelsea's first win.
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said to Sky Sports News: "I'm happy, but I look at this as a training session and not as a game.
"The important thing is that we are working well, the players are tired but, even tired, they gave everything they could and tried to improve themselves."
In the coming weeks, Chelsea continue to prepare for the new season, a friendly in Mourinho's native Portugal against Benfica and a U.S. tour including two games against AC Milan.
The Premier League title defence starts at newly promoted Wigan Athletic on August 14.
