AC Milan Tuesday signed Italy striker Christian Vieri on a two-year contract from city rival Inter.
Last Friday, Inter released Vieri from his contract a year early as the 31-year-old has been plagued by injuries and rarely saw any action this past season.
AC Milan said on its Web site that Vieri's contract would run though June 30, 2007, without giving further details.
At Inter, Vieri earned euro 12 million (14.5 million US dollars)per year.
Inter finished a disappointing third this season, behind champion Juventus and AC Milan.
