China's Child Film studio has produced "The Age of Fifteen", a film based on the lives of the young people. It will be presented at various European film festivals and is released in March or April 2005.

It is a big move for the Studio to expose the bleak state of China's youth in a film.

It is the directorial debut for young director Pan Baochang. He and his friend wrote the script together in two years. He says all the details and dialogue in this film are taken from real life because children always speak the truth. The main character is not a flawless child but a real boy with real feelings going through the process of growing.
