Chinese Super League: Zheng may move to Shandong
Latest Updated by 2005-01-07 10:40:14

Popular portal Web site Sina reported Wednesday (Jan 5) that Super League champion Shenzhen Jianlibao's midfielder Zheng Zhi might move to Shandong in the coming season.

The report quoted an anonymous source from the Chinese Super League Cup champion Shandong Luneng, saying that a formal transfer contract would be signed within the next two days. The source also said that a transfer fee between 10 million (US$1.22 million) and 12 million yuan would be paid to the Shenzhen club.

Zheng Zhi failed to impress Hertha Berlin in Germany in a trial in early December, and later a pre-Christmas trial at English Premier League side Southampton.
