Tennis: Chinese Pair Enter Semis in Gold Coast

Chinese pair Zheng Jie and Yan Zi have advanced into the doubles semifinals at the ongoing Australian women's hard-court championships on the Gold Coast.

The fourth-seeded edged out their Australian counterparts 5-7, 7-5, 6-4 in their third round match at Uncle Toby's Hardcourts.

The duo will play the team of Elena Likhovtseva and Magdalena Maleeva in Friday's (Jan 7th) match that will determine who advances to the final.
