Tennis: Forget quits French Fed Cup post
Latest Updated by 2004-12-30 10:29:26

GUY FORGET, who guided France to the final of this year's Fed Cup, has quit the post due to his Davis Cup commitments.

The former French No. 1 has been in charge of the women's team for six years and guided France to victory in the tournament in 2003.

The 2005 calendar sees the Davis Cup and its female equivalent played on the same weekends so Forget had no option but to quit.

Yannick Noah, Arnaud Boetsch and Georges Goven are in the running to take the position.
