Ha beccomes first S. Korean NBA player

South Korean basketball player Ha Seung-jin signed a contract with the Portland Trail Blazers of the US National Basketball Association (NBA), Ha's agent said Monday (Dec 27th).

"Ha signed to join the Trail Blazers," Ha's agent John Kim was quoted by South Korean Yonhap New Agency as saying.

The 19-year-old center was picked 46th overall and 17th in the second round by the Trail Blazers in the NBA draft on June 25, becoming the first South Korean NBA player.

Ha has played in the American Basketball Association's league since the start of this season.
