Concert to feature Russian cellist

A recital will be staged at the Children's Palace in Futian District on Friday evening, featuring Artem Konstantinov, soloist and principal cellist of the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra.

Born in Russia, Konstantinov has won many international competitions both in Russia and Italy, and performs frequently on the international stage.

In his distinguished soloist career Konstantinov has performed with the Tchaikovsky Concerthall Orchestra, the London Chamber Orchestra, the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, and the China National Symphony Orchestra.

The concert repertoire includes Sonata in E Minor by Valentini, fantasias by Schumann, an intermezzo by Granados, a nocturne by Tchaikowsky, and La Faunteyne by Davidov.

Bookings can be made by calling 2540-5183, with ticket prices at 60, 100 and 150 yuan.
