Hong Kong comedy superstar Stephen Chow is not just funny. He also has a deep love for children and will fully show his affection for youngsters in the upcoming movie "A Hope" (Chang Jiang Yi Hao), currently shooting in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.
In the film, Stephen Chow breaks stereotypes by putting on shabby clothes to portray his character, a poor father who can't afford a toy for his son. He then decided to pick one out from the garbage. It turns out the magical toy from the garbage is actually from outer space. From there, the adventure begins.
Critics reportedly call the fiction movie a powerful alternative to the currently oversaturated martial arts films, which audiences seem to be getting fed up with. Some even say it may generate another trend for the Chinese movie industry.
"A Hope" is expected to be released in China next summer.
