HK Film/TV Exhibition Rescheduled to September

A Hong Kong film/TV exhibition has been rescheduled from June to Sept. 24 in order to keep away from SARS, the Trade Development Council (TDC), the organizer, announced Monday.
Rachel Chan, a promotion director for TDC, said the announcement was made after thorough consultation with most of theexhibitors.
"We believe the SARS situation will be further controlled by September, thus making it more convenient for overseas businessmento join us," Chan said.
TDC said it will enrich the contents of the exhibition to include not only trading of films and TV programs, but also the latest film technology and services covering production, post-production, digital technology, financing and legal consultancy. TDC will also provide a series of preferential services, such as discount of rent and free pre-event business matching service, etc.
The annual exhibition has been conducted for six years and is quite famed currently in Asia. Last year, over 2,000 industry players from 37 countries and regions participated the event.
TDC said it hopes more businessmen from Europe, the United Stated, Southeast Asia and the Chinese mainland to attend this year's session.
Fred Wang, an exhibitor and also director of a local film company, said it is apropos to postpone the exhibition for the sick of film industry.
He said that without worries about the disease, producers and distributors from different areas can "gather under one roof and explore new ways of cooperation."
