Free education offered to rural students

RURAL students in 16 underdeveloped counties in Guangdong Province stopped paying tuition fees for primary and junior high school education starting from the current semester, which opened yesterday (Feb 13). Students in the 16 trial counties only need to pay for their textbooks, and some from poor families are exempt from that as well.
