GD to boost Sino-British Education Exchanges

The yearly British Education Exhibition is to kick off in Guangzhou, capital of South China's Guangdong Province next month (Nov.), it is to be unprecedentedly enlarged into a "Sino-British Education Week," covering 6 different items to promote the bilateral education exchanges, source with the Cultural and Education Section of British Consulate-General.

The event, jointly sponsored by Cultural and Education Section of the British Consulate-General and Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, will be mainly stressed on "Quality Education", exhibiting an over-all interaction and cooperation in education sphere.

The education week contents 6 pragmatic activities, which runs for ten days (Nov. 5 to 14 ).

Highlights:

  1. "Quality Education Forum"
    It is said the forum gives off some eyeshot points in the planned "education week", those officials concerned from Education Departments in Britain, Guandong and Hong Kong are most likely to appear recalling the cooperative results made in last three years. Fresh interactive pattern is also to be formulated 
  2. "2004 China International Education Exhibition - The British Education Exhibition Block" roused the attention mostly. The exhibition is valued one of the most worthy part in the "education week", says the Cultural and Education Section of British Consulate-General in Guangzhou. The two-day event, drawing the interest from 55 prestigious universities from UK, get engaged into a series of lectures and publicities on the academic life there, IELTS tests, etc. Some outstanding scholars and students are invited to tell their academic successes and life stories in UK.
  3. "Discussion on the pattern of Individualized Teaching", "The 2nd Session Seminar on English Literature and Culture"
    Education experts from China and UK are to discuss various topics on English literature, culture and education, etc.
  4. "School Management Training for Sino-British Elementary and Secondary School Principals"
