Cantonese opera's application for world cultural heritage underway

According to Guangdong Culture department, Cantonese Opera's application for World Cultural Heritage has made new progress. Guangdong has drafted a proposal to ask official representatives from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao governments along with three generations of Cantonese opera artists to sign the application proposal. The application will be filed in the name of Macao's membership of United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization.
