XU YONG, professor of the Luxun Art Academy, is well-known for his big-scene historic paintings, horse paintings and picture-story books.
Unique culture of various Chinese nationalities and his faith in praising the common but courageous Chinsese people inspired the artist's paintings.
"I only want to say one thing to the readers that I love my country and the people," he said.
Having been engaged in artistic creation for 50 years, he has produced a large number of well-received works.
