According to Southern Metropolis News, a recent survey found that more than 65 percent of university students in Guangzhou are in favor of premarital sex.
The survey was organized last month by the Guangzhou Youth Dating Agency under the city's committee of the Communist Youth League of China. A total of 168 university students were interviewed.
Sixty-five percent of the respondents were in favor of premarital sex. However, most said they would take precautions to prevent AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
Less than 10 percent of the students opposed premarital sex.
