Large charity show to be held today

Media organizations in Guangdong will join together to put on a charity show tonight to collect funds for tsunami victims. The charity event organizers include the Southern Media Corporation, Nanfang Daily Press Group, Yangcheng Evening News Group, Guangdong Red Cross and Guangdong Charity Federation.

The charity show will take place in the studio of the Guangdong TV Station at 8:00 pm tomorrow night. The event will be broadcast live for three hours on Guangdong TV Satellite Channel, TVS Entertainment Channel, Satellite Radio Guangdong, and Music FM, Voice of the City and Pearl Radio of Radio Guangdong. The audiences at the charity event will hear telephone reports from Guangdong journalists in tsunami-hit countries.

The charity night will have three donation numbers: 83770009, 83327771, 83327722. 100 hotlines will be on service.

It will also cooperate with www.southcn.com and receive donations from internet users.
