Beijing int'l dance season kicks off

The classic French ballet Sylvia kicks off the 2nd Beijing International Dance Season on Tuesday night at the Poly Theater in Beijing.

Composed by Leo Delibes, the "father of ballet" in France, this version of Sylvia is collaboration between China's Central Ballet Troupe and the Paris Opera House.

The Beijing International Dance Season will see 50 dance performances from countries including China, Russia, Canada and Turkey. It will end Jan.25.
