Last year, 'man-made' beauty became a hot word in Chinese media, for several girls paid tens of thousands each to make every part of their bodies perfect. Some of them are still taking surgery now, like Miss Guan, dubbed 'first man-made beauty of Guangzhou', just 'grow' to 170cm from 162cm after an operation.

Miss Guan is satisfied with her height now.
However, not every surgery could help girls' dreams come true. According to experts, in the past decade, some 200 thousands people suffered from failed plastic or cosmetic surgery. They suggest citizens to go through psychology assessments before having such surgery.
Psycho doctor says, Liu had over-expectation on the surgery and could not stand the result. She thought people around her do not want to be with her after the surgery for she became ugly and stayed at home crying every day. Liu even had thought of killing herself once. This is a kind of Cognitive Impairment. The doctor also says the surgery is not as bad as Liu thinks.
The doctor recommended a psycho assessment before the surgery, and says it is not good to pursue 'perfect face and figure' blindly. First, over-expectation may cause mental diseases, like the case of Liu; second, many private or even illegal clinics saw the business potential and claimed that they are able to offer cosmetic surgery. These clinics are the main places where failed cosmetic surgery cases are occurred. Source reveals, there are a total of 200,000 complaints about the cosmetic and plastic surgery over the past ten years, that is to say, every year 20,000 people suffer from their 'beatifying project'.
