PREPARATION for the First Shenzhen International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF), to be held Nov. 18 to 22, was launched Sunday when the organizing committee led by Mayor Li Hongzhong held the first meeting.
Organizers will hold a first press conference in the Shenzhen Hotel in Beijing on Wednesday. More than 100 reporters from home and abroad will be invited to cover the conference.
The cultural fair will be the first international cultural exhibition ever held in China, and yet another regular large international fair to be held in Shenzhen after the China Hi-Tech Fair.
The cultural fair will include expositions of cultural products, forum and transaction matching. Some mainstream Chinese and foreign newspapers and magazines, exhibits from cultural heritage and historic cities, works by modern Chinese art masters, selected books and high-tech printing equipment will be on show at the fair.
