Sources with Chashan township government of Dongguan revealed yesterday (April 28th) that Nanshe Village is ready to push for the listing of the cultural relics under state-level protection.
Boasting as much as more than 30 ancestral temples of Ming and Qing dynasty and 250 local-style dwelling houses, the ancient building area of the village covers 110,000 square metres. It was listed by Guangdong provincial government as the Unit for Cultural Relic Protection in 2002.
According to sources with Chashan, a town where Nanshe Village located, that the village has a big chance to win the listing evaluation with its existing large-scale ancient dwelling houses and ancestral temple of Ming and Qing dynasty.
