On10th February, 2007, the foster parents of the giant panda came from China and abroad to join a "Panda Kindergarden Opening ceremony" in Sichuan Wolong Panda Research Center, including friends form the Panda International, the Panda Protect Institution of Japan, the BHP Billiton and Thailand Chiang Mai Zoo.

The head of the Panda Protect Institution of Japan's foreign affairs office, Ms. Qi Ming brought the list of the new adopters and their best wishes for the giant panda babies; while the giant panda adopters, such as, Ms. Itoh Mariko, Yamadan Oriko, Ms. Zhang Weiyi was the winners of the "Give a Name to the Baby Giant Panda".

Last year, the center saw birth of 18 baby pandas.
