A NEW art gallery and an animation production center will be added as venues for the Second China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industry Fair (ICIF), the working committee of the ICIF announced at a meeting yesterday.

Yachang Art Gallery, which will open in May at the Dongmeilin Culture Hall on Caitian Road, Futian District, will be one of the additional venues. It will host a high-level art forum during the fair.

The second newly added venue, Yijing Animation Production Center, will be officially inaugurated during the ICIF. The national-level animation production center was the only one in China approved by the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television. It has so far attracted some 30 animation companies from Shenzhen, Canada, South Korea and Taiwan Province to set up offices there.

The organizer also revealed that more than 21,000 cultural industry professionals, including 3,000 from 46 foreign countries and regions, have registered to visit the fair.
