The Guangdong cartoon art festival will be held between Aug 11 and 15. This festival will show achievements from the cartoon industry in recent years.
The festival is organized by the Chinese Culture Promotion Society and the Guangdong television artist association. There will be a cartoon artwork show, cartoon figure designing contest, and humor photograph contest.
Guangdong has many cartoon enthusiasts and is a major cartoon base in China.
There are about 4000 people working in this industry in Guangdong representing 50% of the nation's total.
