According to the Ministry of Water Resources, the Institute of Water Education of UNESCO has issued a book about China's Yellow River and listed it as its research subject.
The book introduces the status of the Yellow River and the Loess Plateau, the history of the harnessing of the river and the problems the river is now facing.
The Netherlands-based institute is dedicated to researching global water resources and has over 190 affiliates worldwide.
Over the years it has trained more than 12,000 experts, specialists and scholars from over 120 countries.
