Fifty Guangzhou artists auctioned their paintings on January 14 and donated all the proceeds to help Southeast Asia's tsunami victims.
The event was Co-sponsored by Guangzhou Literature and Art Association, Guangzhou Institution of Culture and History, and the Guangdong Charity Federation.
The auction features famous painters such as Lu Yanguang, Tang Daxi, and Li Xingtao.
Till 4pm yesterday, Guangdong Red Cross Society had raised more than 20 million RMB while the Guangdong Charity Federation also raised 25 million RMB.
