Cultivated by Chinese culture and art, and having received the education and training of fine arts in China, the young painter Chan Kinchung came to Paris with a worship of the western culture and art, especially modern Paris art.
More than 30 years later, having already become one of the most distinguished painters in Paris, Mr. Chan devoted himself deeply into western classical painting and modern painting. However, he did not restrict himself to these styles alone.
In a repeated process of practice and exploration, his unique style which can best be characterized as precise but free, still but elegant was formed. Also, his own temperament and aesthetic character is developed and marked in his works. Up until now, many pieces of his works have been collected by the French Association for Artistic Action, the Paris National library, the Megaton Foundation Art Museum, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the the Tokyo Modern Sculpture Center.
