A exhibition of paintings of horses by Chinese artist Yang Shuhua will be on display at Shenzhen Museum from Nov. 16.
A student of famed painter Huang Zhou (1925-1997), Yang is particularly good at painting horses, oxen and sheep.
Yang's works have been exhibited in Beijing, Shanghai, Xi'an and many other cities of the world, like Los Angeles, Paris and Pusan in South Korea.
Yang learned a lot from the style of the late artist Xu Beihong (1895-1953), whose horse paintings are well known in China and the world.
