A total of 80 calligraphy works and paintings by top Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasty artists are on display at Shenzhen Museum through Dec. 3.
This is the first time the works, part of the collection of 4,000 works from Jinan Museum in East China's Shandong Province, have been exhibited outside the museum. The artists selected include Zheng Banqiao, Liu Yong, Nian Gengyao, Lin Zexu and Guangdong artists Lin Liang and Chen Xianzhang. Ten calligraphy works titled "Tianmafu" ("Ode to Sky Horses") by Ming artist Dong Qichang are written on colored silk and valued at 100 million yuan (US$12.5 million).
