[Shenzhen] Chinese contemporary works on display
Latest Updated by 2006-04-27 09:32:23

A SPECIAL exhibition titled Contemporary Chinese Master Artists' Works Exhibition, featuring 77 painting and calligraphic works, opened at Shenzhen Museum on Tuesday (Apr 25).

Jointly organized by Shenzhen Museum and Fujian Museum, the artists include Xu Beihong, Fubaoshi, Wu Zuren, Guan Shanyue, Qi Gong and Li Sanzhi.

Most of the works were done during the "Cultural Revolution" (1966-1976).

They were selected from more than 600 pieces originally in the private collection of Beijing-based husband and wife collectors Chen Yin and Jin Lan. In 1991, they donated their entire collection to Fujian Museum in Fujian Province.
