Keren Ann, born in Israel, is one of the most outstanding singers of folk music in France. With a guitar, she has created refreshing English and French songs that tell of legends in ancient times or romantic stories of the past.

In 2000, Karen Ann rose to fame with her debut album "La Biographie De Luka Philipsen", a work fused with Russian literature, Jewish ballads, and French poems in forms of Trip-Hop, folk music and pop. Her single "Jardin D'Hiver" is said to have touch the 80-year-old Henri Salvador, the Bossa Nova queen in France. Henri Salvador even included five of Keren's songs in her coming- back album.

Since her second album "La Disparition", Keren has added more jazz and blues element to her music. Her songs bring immense joy to listeners of different ages. Her blues-leaning single "Not Going Anywhere" is deep and soft, "End Of May", a dreamy serenade-like song, gives a sense of desperation. You can always feel a slight sadness in her songs such as "Right Now And Right Here", romantic chanson "By The Cathedral", and Latin-style guitar "Spanish Song Bird".

Her songs are so soft and pure, just like a fragile crystal ball or a cool mountain brook in summer time. No wonder her songs are allegedly most appropriate for background music in a café. Come to her concert in Guangzhou for a romantic encounter with such beautiful voice!
