Guangzhou will host the 2010 Asia International Music Festival from November 5 to 17, provincial culture authorities announced at a press conference on August 31. The festival will feature 10 fascinating events joined by renowned musicians such as Seiji Ozawa and Yo-Yo Ma.

During the Asian Games, all exhibitions will be opened to the public free of charge, except the Museum of the West-Han Nanyue King Mausoleum, the Guangzhou Museum, and the Guangdong Museum of Folk Arts.

The music festival will be organized by the provincial government and feature predominantly Asian musicians. Seiji Ozawa, Tan Dun and Yo-Yo Ma will visit the festival.

Seiji Ozawa, one of the world's greatest classical musicians, has recovered from esophageal cancer. His itinerary for Guangzhou has largely been fixed.
