Violinist Sheng Zhongguo, who has been dubbed the "Chinese Menuhin," will collaborate with his Japanese pianist wife Seta Hiroko later this month to present a night of classical melodies at the Shenzhen Concert Hall.

Sheng was born into a musical family in Chongqing in 1941. In the early 1980s, Sheng held a great number of concerts around the world, including 12 concerts in six cities of Australia in 1980. The shows marked a milestone in the history of Sino-Australian cultural exchanges.

Seta began learning piano at the age of 5. She is now a member of the Japanese Musicians Agency Company. The musical couple have performed around China since 1994.
