A baby weighing in at 5.75 kilograms was born in the city of Zhongshan, Guangdong Province last week, according to Guangzhou Daily.
He is the biggest baby to have been born in this Pearl River Delta city.
Doctors said the mother's big appetite during her pregnancy had led to the birth of such a big baby.
Both the mother and son are in good health.
