A total of 52 Shenzhen products were selected as famous brand names in a competition organized by the city's federation of industrial economics and media Saturday (Nov. 28).
Eight of the 52 received their awards for 2004 national brand names early this year, Chinese-language newspapers reported.
The other 44 selected brands, such as Kaifa in high-tech products, Airland in bedding, China International Marine Containers Group (Zhongji) in logistics, Rainbow Department Store, Neptunus for pharmaceuticals passed strict selection criteria to win their titles.
The competition aimed to promote Shenzhen-made products.
