The 40 cities participating in the Fifth China (Shenzhen) International Horticultural and Floral Expo during Sept. 16 and March 16 in 2005 will each have one week to display local cultures and customs.
A Shenzhen Evening News report said Tuesday (Apr. 13) that the cities could show off their urban construction achievements, afforestation, economic development and handicrafts.
So far, 40 cities from home and abroad had applied to attend the half-year expo.
Shenzhen is to spend 235.8 million yuan (US$28.4 million) building a park for the expo.
