The schedule flight between Zhanjiang, west Guangdong and Hong Kong will be formally reopened on Aug. 30th, which will boost the communication between the two regions.
Since it was opened in 1986, the flight contributes a lot to the economic and trade exchange between the two regions. However, it was suspended on Apr. 8 last year because of the SARS breakout.
Since the establishment of the Pan-PRD regional economic and trade cooperation bloc this year, the geographic advantage of Zhanjiang is increasingly noted; and the resume work of the Zhanjiang-Hong Kong flight also seems to be clamant with the launching of individual traveling for Guangdong residents to Hong Kong.
The flight, using the B737-500 luxury aeroplane, is scheduled to fly twice in a week, each with one hour.
