Natural Surroundings

Situated in the central and northern part of Guangdong Province, bordering Guangzhou in the south, Hunan in the north and Guangxi in the west QEEDZ (Qingyuan Experimental Economic Zone) is renowned as the thoroughfare of Guangdong, Hunan and Guangxi. Characterized by subtropical monsoon climate, QEEDZ enjoys long daytime of sunshine, with an average annual rainfall of 2200 mm, an average annual temperature of 21.6 centigrade, and an average annual humidity of 78%. Infrastructure Facilities

Highway Transportation. The 107th National Highway runs through Qingyuan City proper and the Ecological Industrial Parks, connecting the Qingyuan-Guangzhou Expressway and the Pearl River Delta highway networks. The central part of the Ecological Industrial Parks is only 48 kilometers to Guangzhou City and 150 kilometers to Shenzhen City.

Railway Transportation. The central prat of the Ecological Industrial Parks is only 20 kilometers to Qingyuan Railway Station on the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway Line.

Water Transportation. Located within QEEDZ, Qingyuan Port has opened direct navigation lines to Huangpu Port, Shenzhen Port, and ports in Hong Kong and Macao, navigable for ships with a tonnage of 500 tons all the year round.

Air Transportation. The central part of the Ecological Industrial Parks shall be 27 kilometers to the new Huadu International Airport, and now 50 kilometers to Baiyun International Airport in Guangzhou, which has airlines to major cities at home and abroad.

Water Supply: Qingyuan is abundant in water resources. The many running water Companies using water resources from Beijiang River and reservoirs are adequate to meet the demand of enterprises in QEEDZ for water supply.

Power Supply. Qingyuan has an adequate supply of electricity for industrial, commercial and residential consumption of enterprises, restaurants and hotels, and residents in QEEDZ.

Communications. Adequate communications facilities have been built up, program-controlled telephone service and IDD service are readily available.

Living Conditions

Qingyuan has recently been named and listed as an Excellent Tourism City by the State. As a beautiful riverside city, Qingyuan is unique in its tourism resources and facilities. Within QEEDZ there lie Feilaixia Gorges and Feilai Temple, the well-known scenic sport and place of historic interest.
