Lotus supermarket opens a shopping center in Jiangmen in August 18th. It is the first supermarket opened by this retail giant in south China area, with its first shop in China settled in Shanghai in June, 1997.
The shopping center is located in Shuanglong Plaza, downtown area of Jiangmen, covering 23 thousand sq.m. and employing 500 stuff.
Lotus reveals, after inspection, they found Jiangmen an ideal place for investment combining good environment and well-development transportation. The opening of Jiangmen supermarket marks the launching of Lotus's ambitious project '100 shops in China'. Lotus is to open seven more shops in south China in the coming few years and is striving to open 16 new shops with each covering 8000 - 12000 sq.m. by the end of next year.
