Huiyang district, Huizhou, starts 28 projects in the fields of industry, urban construction, trade, culture, involving 2.829 billion yuan on Mar. 2.
Source says that a total of 100 projects, with a total investment of 16 billion yuan, will launch this year.
Huiyang aims to build a logistics base for CNOOC and Shell Petrochemicals project.
One of the eye-catching projects is Huiyang Culture and Sports Park, a 1-million-square-meters park located in the center of Huiyang district, with a construction budget of 80 million yuan, which will open to citizens at the end of 2005.
The total fixed assets investment of Huiyang hit 1.757 billion yuan, and the actual utilized foreign investment reach 190 million USD, up 21.3 percent and 14.7 percent respectively compared with last year.
