Zhongkai Hi-tech Industrial zone cerebrates its 11th birthday yesterday (Sept. 10th). This once deserted land now develops into a silicon valley in the region with over 100 enterprises. The GDP per capita is 900 thousands yuan.
In 1992, Zhongkai Industrial Zone, Huizhou, became a state-level Hi-tech development zone. In the next year, the output of the zone is less than 1 billion yuan. Now the annual output reach 26 billion yuan. Up till last year, the zone has attracted 240 million USD. 115 enterprises from home and abroad open their offices or plants here. The electronic appliance manufacturing is undergoing rapid development. Output of the sector reaches 24.1 billion yuan, accounting for 93% of that of the whole zone.
The anniversary yesterday encounters a numbers of ceremony celebrating contract-signings, groundbreaking and construction completing. These projects will add more attractiveness to the zone.
