Guangzhou will soon have a giant new TV and sightseeing tower, with a height of about 600 meters.
Construction on the massive project will begin in December. The design proposal has been chosen and is now waiting for the approval from the government.
The super-high tower, with an investment value of 1.5 billion yuan, is expected to be complete by August of 2007. It will stand as a souring symbol of Guangzhou's High aspirations. It will sit along the Pearl River and stand on Guangzhou's axial line.
The new TV tower will rebroadcast the 2010 Asian Games, which will be hosted by Guangzhou. It will also become a new scenic spot in Guangzhou.
An added entertainment feature of the structure will be a four-dimensional theatre built inside the tower, which will be the first one of its kind in the world. (text source: Radio Guangdong)
