The final 13 designs of the future Guangzhou TV Tower are on public display from Saturday to Friday in the No. 9 exhibition hall of the Chinese Export Commodities Fair, or Guangzhou Fair.
Residents in Guangzhou can also vote on www.upo.com.cn, the official Web site of the Guangzhou Municipal Urban Planning Bureau.
The bureau said most of the designs showed the towers at more than 600 meters, higher than the world's tallest TV tower in Toronto, Canada.
The bureau will announce the final three designs in August after taking opinions from both experts and the general public.
Authorities require the tower to represent the image of Guangzhou and have a perfect combination in structure, function and design.
Facing the Pearl River, the tower is expected to house television relay equipment as well as sightseeing facilities.
Designs had been submitted by many well-known architects including Richard Rogers Partnership in Britain, Coopphimmelb in Austria and Leon Wohlhage Wernik in Germany.
