Traffic cops in Foshan, Guangdong Province, fined a bridegroom 200 yuan (US$24.6609) on his wedding day.
The wedding car had a traditional marriage couplet printed on the back, which happened to cover the licence plate.
Police pulled the car over as it was in violation of laws and dished out the fine.
