Guangdong's Dongguan City was voted as one of the "Top Ten Most Charming Cities of China". The event was held by China Central Television (CCTV) Saturday (September 18th). CCTV has evaluated over 600 county-level cities and only 10 were awarded the title. Criteria for this selection include whether the city has a scientific urban development plan, a dynamic economy, an innovative city construction design, a nice environment, a long cultural history and an aspiring spirit. The other nine cities are Quanzhou city in Fujian province, Dali in Yunnan province, Sanya in Hainan province, Kunshan in Jiangsu province, Yantai in Shandong province, Dujiangyan in Sichuan province, Shaoxing in Zhejiang province, Guilin in Guangxi province and Luoyang in Henan province.
