Lenovo Group Ltd, China's No. 1 personal-computer maker, Huawei Technologies Co and the nation's 98 other leading electronics companies said sales in the first 11 months of 2006 rose 16 percent from a year earlier as exports grew.
China's 100 biggest electronics companies' revenue in the 11 months ended November 30 increased to 940.8 billion yuan (US$121 billion), the Ministry of Information said in a statement on its Website.
The companies' exports rose 27 percent to 255.2 billion yuan. Sales at Lenovo were 121.8 billion yuan, a rise of 36 percent from a year earlier. Revenue at the Haier Group, China's largest maker of home appliances, gained three percent to 102.5 billion yuan, while Huawei's sales climbed 39 percent to 52.9 billion yuan.
