Electric energy output grows 18.1 pct

By last Sunday (July 25), the total electric energy output in China since the beginning of the year had risen 18.1 percent year on year to 1.16 trillion kwh, according to figures from the State Grid Corporation of China.

 

Some 176.04 billion kwh of power supply was contributed by hydroelectric stations, up 30.9 percent year on year, while 955.9 billion kwh was generated by thermal power plants, up 16.44 percent. The power output provided by nuclear power stations rose 19.4 percent to 25 billion kwh.
