Zhuhai Sate High-tech Industrial Development Zone,a state-level development zone, is made up of 4 technological & industrial parks including Nanping, Sanzao, Xinqing and Baijiao as well as Zhuhai Demonstration Base for the Industrialization of Technological Achievements.The development zone applies unified management, all-the-way-through services and overall representation.

Zhuhai,one of the 5 special economic zones of China,is a beautiful seaside city connected to Macao via land and facing Hong Kong across the ocean. It has won the award from the United Nation for the best practice in improving living environment. It has also won several nation-wide awards including National Garden City, National Good Hygiene City, National Model for Environment Protection and Best Tourist City of China.

Zhuhai has fully developed its communication network including air, land and sea transportation.With its well established facilities,it is listed as one of the 40 Cities with good investment environment in China. It has one of the major ports in the southern part of China with over 100 berths from 10,000 tons to 250,000 tons. It has a modem airport and it is also the meeting point of Jingzhu, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Zhuhai and seashore highways. The high-speed railway from Guang zhou to Zhuhai is under construction. The  favorable geographic location of Zhuhai has provided golden opportunities for the development of the high-tech zone. In return, the high-tech zone is currently playing a leading role in achieving new economic growth for Zhuhai.

The high-tech zone is bestowed with double preferential policies of both the special economic zone and state high-tech zone. Zhuhai government has formulated a series of favorable policies on financing and tax, land, water and electricity,capital, personnel transfer and the industrialization of technical achievements for the zone, strongly facilitating its growth. Till now, about 100 companies have joined the high-tech zone including American Dll Group (Zhuhai) Ltd., Singapore Flextronics International (Zhuhai) INC Co.Ltd.,Japan MEKTEC Manufacturing corporation (Zhuhai) Ltd., Japan Tomita Electronics (Zhuhai) Ltd., HongKong United Laboratories (Zhuhai) Ltd., Korea HANARO (Zhuhai) Ltd., Hong Kong Qingmu Electronics (Zhuhai) Ltd., HongKong United Laboratories (Zhuhai) Ltd., China Yangzi Group (Zhuhai) Ltd.,Both Oplink communications INC. and TIOIN FOR Body INC.were founded by Chinese scholars coming back from overseas. A group of speclalized parks with its own industrial or geographic characteristics have also been setup within the high-tech zone,including aerospace technological park,pioneering park for overseas students, demonstration zone for EU investment,Taiwan electronic park, United Nation TIPS development zone and Haerbin Industrial University Zhuhai software park etc.
