Guangdong Statistics Bureau and Guangdong Economic and Trade Commission announced the rank of the 50 strongest enterprises and the 50 strongest industrial enterprises in Guangdong in 2005 yesterday (July 26th).

Southern Power Grid, Hongfujin Precision Industry (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd and Pin An Insurance (GROUP) Company of China, Ltd. topped the list. In 2005, each of the 50 strongest enterprises revenues exceeded 10 billion Yuan.

Among the 50 enterprises, the enterprises in the secondary industry accounts for 68.7% of the total turnover. The number of the companies in tertiary industry accounts for 31.3 percent, up from 28.4 percent in 2004. This mainly attributes to the fast growth of the railway transportation industry, banking and wholesale business.

These top 50 organizations are concentrated in the Pearl River Delta region and 26 Guangzhou enterprises are on the list.
