The Zhuhai Food Quality Supervision Committee Monday (March 14) reported that the seasoning packets from seven different varieties of Doll instant noodles' were found to contain Sudan I, a red industrial dye which can potentially cause cancer.
Doll instant noodles are produced by the Jinhai'an Yongnan Food Co. Ltd. in Zhuhai. The committee called on all citizens to stop eating the contaminated varieties, which are Japanese Noodles, Beef-flavor Rice Noodles, two kinds of Roast-Beef-Flavor, Stretched noodles, Sparerib-Flavor Stretched Noodles, Beef-Flavor Noodles and Spicy-Beef-flavor Noodles.
The Jinhai'an Yongnan Food Co. Ltd. said they acted promptly to dispose of the relevant products and raw materials and issued a national recall order as soon as they received the inspection results. The company also confirmed on Monday that they had recalled 20,000 cases of noodles.
