Guangzhou Pearl River Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) Power Co. Ltd. sign a load contract with China Development Bank, involving 1.42 bln yuan and 70 mln USD, for a LNG power project.
LNG is one of the newer, cleaner energies Guangdong is exploiting to replace the polluting kind that are in short reserve.
By the end of next year, 2,390 buses, 44 percent of the total, and 7,520 taxies in Guangzhou will be using liquid petroleum gas (LPG), replacing petrol, and compressed natural gas (CNG), another form of clean energy, would be introduced in 2008.
